Conceived by culinary journalist Jonah Freud and a team of celebrated and expert chefs from across the Netherlands, including Robert Kranenborg and Jonnie Boer, the recipes are inspired by paintings in the museum’s collection. Printed on paper reminiscent of parchment, this exceptional book was designed by Irma Boom and features hundreds of colourful images of objects from the collection, attesting to this rich culinary history and the prominent role of food and drink in Dutch culture.
