This rare six-piece direct mail set was produced in 2024 in collaboration with Swiss artist Roman Signer, renowned for his contemporary installation practice, as part of Comme des Garçons’ annual direct mail artist program. Crafted on thick gray paperboard, the set comprises two red-covered volumes announcing seasonal sales, and four white-covered volumes of more than 20 pages each, incorporating folded spreads and elaborate pop-up constructions. In addition to Roman Signer’s beautiful installation photographs, the volumes also include numerous sketches, offering a rare glimpse into his creative process. A remarkable and highly collectible ensemble, it blurs the line between commercial ephemera and artist’s book.
