Released 27 years ago, IDEA No.277 is a special issue dedicated to London-based Farrow Design.
Across approximately 30 pages, Farrow Design themselves took full control of the layout, designing the spreads and structuring the feature as a cohesive visual sequence.
This was not a conventional editorial feature, but rather a temporary takeover of the magazine — a self-directed space within IDEA.
Today, copies are extremely difficult to find, particularly within Japan. It has become a genuinely scarce issue, rarely appearing on the market and virtually unobtainable domestically.
A remarkable document of Farrow Design at a pivotal moment, and a rare example of a studio shaping its own representation in print.
