The theme of Comme des Garçons’ 2026 Direct Mail is the revival of Six Sense, the legendary publication released in eight issues between 1988 and 1991, art-directed by Tsuguya Inoue.
The booklet distributed to customers at the launch of this season is a digest edition. While the original format measured 40 × 30 cm, this new version has been reduced to 30 × 22 cm. Issue No. 1 appears on the front cover and Issue No. 2 on the back cover, combining two issues into a single 52-page volume.
Original copies, published more than 35 years ago, currently trade on the market for USD 200–300. In this new edition, photographs by postwar Japanese masters Takuma Nakahira and Kenshu Shintsubo have been newly added, making this perhaps the last opportunity to physically experience Comme des Garçons’ “Six” once again.
