A direct-mail piece produced for Roger Ballen’s retrospective exhibition, surveying his work from 1969 to 2014. Issued in conjunction with the exhibition held at Comme des Garçons Kyoto in 2015, this printed piece was distributed exclusively to the store’s clientele.
Rather than a mass-produced promotional item, it was intended for a limited audience, making it an interesting example of Comme des Garçons’ long-standing engagement with contemporary art and a desirable piece of ephemera in its own right.
