The views contained in this volume are extraordinarily informative, not only because a master of his craft, Emil Schulthess, has selected the photographs and the learned geographer, Emil Egli, has done the commentary, but also because they come from the collection of Swissair Photo and Vermessungen AG (Geodetic Surveys (10.). A country like Switzerland with its abundance of different types of landscape, in the Alps, in the midlands and in the Jura, is ideal as a subject for aerial photography, presenting many themes of special geographical and historical interest.
