World of Video Game Fonts
How has graphic design evolved throughout the history of video games? And how have games been visually represented over time?
Focusing primarily on title logos from three major game companies long recognized for their strong visual identities, this publication explores approximately 30 years of design developments in video game culture. Featuring around 400 titles.
This issue, idea No. 352, has become one of the rarest and most sought-after graphic design references in the history of idea magazine.

Born in Obihiro, Hokkaido in 1973.
Formed ‘Nendo Graphixxx’ in 1993 while attending the Department of Design at Nihon Kogakuin College.
After graduating, I worked in the design production SPICE Inc. while setting up an indie T-shirt brand. I’m experienced as an art director/designer of ‘teleparc’ Japanese first web magazine project by Fujitsu Limited and art director/designer of MTV Japan. I’ve worked as a freelance designer since 2003 and last year relocated to Obihiro, Hokkaido to contribute to the local community with my designs.
